“NOTE”-WORTHY: “MAKING MUSIC IN MONACO” RETURNS
TO THE AIRWAVES THIS SPRING

Listeners in New York and Los Angeles Can Call in to Win Luxury Prizes

NEW YORK, February 27, 2004 – Much to the delight of classical music lovers, “Making Music in Monaco” will once again allow listeners to savor the sounds and legendary culture of Monaco simply by turning on the radio. The program returns the weekend of March 20, airing for 12 consecutive weeks in New York (96.3FM WQXR) and Los Angeles (105.1FM KMZT), and 10 weeks in Chicago (98.7 WFMT) and Dallas (101.5FM WRR). The hour-long music program features performers and composers with ties, present or past, to the Principality of Monaco, and corresponds with Monaco’s annual Spring Arts Festival, held this year from April 2-18, 2004.

The series spotlights the performers appearing in Monaco this season, as well as a retrospective of the Principality’s musical legacy through noted recordings. Among the highlights this year will be interviews with opera star Vassily Sinaisky and ballet director Jean-Christophe Maillot. A long list of highly-regarded composers, conductors and performers will be featured, including such greats as Georges Enesco, Leonard Bernstein, Richard Strauss Kent Magano and, of course, the legendary Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra.

In addition, listeners in New York and Los Angeles can call in to win luxury prizes. And during Monaco Takes New York, a weeklong celebration of Monégasque culture in New York City from May 17-21, listeners can call in to win a gourmet lunch for two at a participating restaurant in Midtown Manhattan.

In Los Angeles, listeners have a chance to experience the very best of Monaco in a more traditional way – by going to Monaco! The winning caller will receive a trip for two to the Principality of Monaco, courtesy of the Monaco Government Tourist Office and Air France. The four-day/three night grand prize includes round-trip air transportation and three nights’ accommodation at the charming Monte Carlo Grand Hotel, a Monaco legend with sweeping sea views, private balconies, rooftop pool and convenient proximity to the Principality’s most remarkable attractions, such as the famous Casino du Monte-Carlo. Breakfast at the hotel each morning and membership in the prestigious Le Club Diamant Rouge travel club are also included in the prize.

Listeners in both cities can win the prize package by calling in to answer trivia questions about the Principality of Monaco. Callers are encouraged to visit www.visitmonaco.com to search for the answers as well as further information on events scheduled for this coming May.
