MONEGASQUE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF SENIOR PEPSICO EXECUTIVE AS ITS HONORARY CONSUL IN CHICAGO

MONACO – September, 2006 – The Government of the Principality of Monaco is Albert Manzonepleased to announce the three-year appointment of Mr. Albert Manzone as Honorary Consul of Monaco in the Chicago, Illinois area with jurisdiction in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Mr. Manzone, a Monégasque citizen and permanent resident in the United States, who currently serves as President for PepsiCo Shelf Stable Juices (including the popular Tropicana, Dole and Twister brands), brings to the position a wealth of managerial experience and cultural contacts. He is widely recognized for his corporate management expertise, and as Honorary Consul, his duties will focus on the development and promotion of commercial and cultural exchanges between Chicago, the above-named U.S. states and the Principality.

He has been with PepsiCo since 1996 and also served as a senior executive at the multi-national conglomerates, Philip Morris and McKinsey companies. An accomplished senior executive with vast experience in general management, consumer marketing and strategy, paired with his multi-cultural disposition (he is fluent in English, Italian, French and proficient in Spanish), make Mr. Manzone a truly international executive, having previously lived and worked in Turkey, Italy and Switzerland as well as in New York City.

Mr. Manzone received his master’s degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Evanston, Illinois (he was awarded full tuition from Monaco Government as the first Monaco citizen to pursue an MBA.) and was awarded a postgraduate degree - with distinction - in International Business from the Sorbonne University in Paris, France. He previously completed an undergraduate degree in Business at the Institut Supérieur Du Commerce in Paris.

His many civic commitments include serving as a Member of the Board of both Chicago Care and the Lycée Français de Chicago; and as the Chair of the Marketing Committees of the Joffrey Ballet and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. He is a Research Partner at the Kellogg School of Management Center for Research & Innovation. He enjoys running, skiing, music, cinema, travel and spending time with his wife, Nathalie, and their three children.

Monaco’s Honorary Consul positions are established to create cultural, economic and business synergy between the United States and the Principality – and operate under the direction of Monaco’s only career Consul General world-wide, the Honorable Maguy Maccario-Doyle, based in New York. Dick Wolf, an entertainment industry veteran and Emmy-award winning producer of NBC’s “Law & Order” series currently serves as Monaco’s Honorary Consul in Los Angeles. Bob Dickinson, President of Carnival Cruise Line, is Monaco’s Honorary Consul in Florida, John Drew, President of The Drew Company and President and CEO of the World Trade Center Boston and Seaport Hotel is Monaco’s Honorary Consul in Boston; John Davis, President of Pegasus Solutions is Monaco’s Honorary Consul in Dallas and lawyer Paula Escher is Monaco’s Honorary Consul in San Francisco.
