Clean drinking water has become a rare commodity on earth - and this situation is growing worse as the world's population continues to increase. It is estimated that some 1.4 billion people are without access to drinking water whilst four billion do not have access to a functioning sewerage system.

Today, contaminated water is the number one cause of death in the world: eight million people are victims every year.
